HOW WE TREAT Your comprehensive evaluation identifies current and past concerns and contributors to distress. After constructing a "road map" to guide us on your road to wellness, and clarifying your goals, we review treatments that can best help you. We use CBT, BA (behavioral activation), motivational interviewing, along with evidence-based psychopharmacological techniques, combined with natural approaches and lifestyle modification when possible. When safe and appropriate for your situation, we can prescribe and monitor GLP-1 inhibitors for several approved conditions.
WHO WE TREAT persons between the ages of 15-85 (but minors need written parental permission). Because we are in-network with MEDICARE (and commerical insurance plans), we treat students and senior citizens and anyone in between. To make treatment affordable, we are in-network with AETNA ANTHEM UNITED OPTUM OXFORD BLUE CROSS FIRST HEALTH NIPPON can use in-network benefits. We welcome creative people and avoid treatments that interfere with creativity.
WHERE WE TREAT all appointments are telepsychiatry, conducted on a HIPPA-compliant zoom platform that is available via apps on smart phones, tablets or computers (without extra charge). Persons must be physically located anywhere within NY State at the time of their telepsychiatry appointments but need not be permanent residents of NY State.
